Well, it's official. I'm in my thirties. As of today, I'm over thirty. This kinda sucks.
But anyway, the trivia night birthday party was a big success! We had around 30 people brave the elements through the below 0 temperatures in the snow to Mike Duffy's in Kirkwood. My team was kick-ass wicked smart awesome. And although we didn't win, we SO totally should have. Some of the questions were hard! The winning team (Eric, Will, Henry, Mike and Annalise) got to split a case of wine between them (which somehow mostly we ended up back at our house...thanks guys!). Kasey was an awesome emcee. Everyone was competitive and had a great time. The birthday cake was way ugly (seriously, what am I, 8 years old?), but it really was delicious. Ryan sang Happy Birthday to me and I was horribly embarassed. I didn't take nearly enough pictures, but here are a couple.
Team Kick Ass (aka "Unbelizeable")
The winning team with their loot.
Really ugly and juvenile birthday cake. However, what it lacked in beauty, it made up for in taste and proper icing distribution.
Embarassed!
Our team's score card. Look how many we got right! We improved as the night progressed, but still ended up in third place.
P.S. It's also our six month wedding anniversary. I can't believe it's already been six months since the wedding! Happy Anniversary Ryan! Thanks for putting up with me (even though you are legally bound to do so).
P.P.S. I'm now officially accepting birthday gifts! Please let me know if you need my mailing address. I wear a size 6 shoe, handbags and jewelry are also welcome, and my favorite designers are Gucci, Chanel, Prada and Burberry. Thanks!
Happy Happy Birthday!! Sorry I'm a few days late!! It looks like you had a great time, and remember 30 is the 21 according to Jay-Z so you're like 22 :)
