I don't know why, but the last two nights I've had dreams about Jackson Hole. I miss it! It's calling to me to come back. I'm in a bit of a sentimental mood today and this is really working on me. For those of you that may have recently tuned into this little blog, my husband and I got married in Jackson Hole this past July, so it has a very special place in our hearts. And it's just about the most beautiful place in the world. It was around this time last year that Ryan and I headed out there to finalize some wedding stuff and get a bit of skiing in. We fell in love with JH all over again. The whole place was covered in snow and twinkle lights. All the pine trees and fireplaces and moose. Le sigh. I want to go back. I need to go back. I felt like I was cheating on Jackson when I was in Breckenridge. But Jackson knows my heart will always be there. I love you, Jackson Hole.
Does anyone else have a "special place" that they miss when they're not there? Somewhere that means more to you than you could ever explain?
I can see why you miss JH, it's stunning! I'm looking forward to visiting this place someday, unfortunately I don't know how to ski. :(
ReplyDeleteA place that I miss? Napa.
Home! Sigh.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteMy place? Tortola, British Virgin Islands. We vacationed there when I was in HS because my mom's best friend owned a house there and we could stay for free. Haven't been back in almost 10 years. I miss it so much. To me, it's home in a strange way.
Gorgeous pictures. My fiance really wants to honeymoon in Jackson Hole.
ReplyDeleteI miss Austin, where I went to college.
I absolutely love Jackson Hole too! I'd say my special place would have to be home in Colorado though. And its so weird- its not technically a place, but just driving up to the moutains really makes me miss it!
ReplyDeleteOh, what I wouldn't give to be there now!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to have found another ADPi on blogger!
I can see why you miss it, it's absolutely breathtaking!! For me it's NY - it really is the same sort of thing - that I can't really explain logically.
ReplyDeleteI miss DC. I only lived there a little over a year, but it just felt like home. Your pics are gorgeous! They make me want to plan a trip!
ReplyDeleteI love Jackson Hole. The hubs and I were there for a friend's wedding in August - a couple of years ago. Even in the summer without skiiing, it's spectacular!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures! Man, I want to visit all these ski resorts you've been to; they look awesome! I think Disney World in Florida is kinda like that for me. My family and I have traveled there more times than I can count on one hand together, and there's just so many good memories there. The last time I went was with my current boyfriend, so special memories with him there too. It's sorta my home away from home.
ReplyDeleteI've never been there but it looks breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteI have never been there, but I've seen several pictures of other people in that same spot as your first photo! Is it beautiful in the summer too?
