Claire's Bridal Shower

On Saturday I attended a bridal shower for bride-to-be Claire. She's marrying Nick, one of Ryan's best friends. Nick's family owns a bison ranch a few hours outside of St. Louis where Ryan and I spend a LOT of time every summer (including every July 4th weekend for the last 6 years). We fish, shoot clay pigeons, ski, golf, grill, hunt frogs, swim, feed bison, drive hummers, and take sunset boat cruises. It's one of my favorite places in the world! Mainly because the Sayers family is so wonderful - they have practically adopted us and are really some of the nicest people on the planet. So I was really honored to be able to help out at the shower, welcome Claire to the family and take a few pictures to document her special day.

Nick's sister Thirza (right) hosted the shower. She did an amazing job!
Below is the beautiful bride with her mother and soon to be mother-in-law.
Claire and her sister Emily.
The food was prepared by Nick's sister (and my neighbor) Carrie (below right). It was absolutely amazing! I don't know what she did to the eggs, but they were some of the best I've ever had! I'm pretty sure it involved cheese and cream. Oh, so good.
Thirza had prepared a little quiz for us about Nick (aka Bob) and Claire (aka Charlie).
The answers were hilarious.
And then it was time for presents!

Followed by dessert.
And finally, family picture time.
It was a really lovely shower. So nice to meet Claire's family. I can't wait for the wedding in June!
