Puerto Vallarta - Adios Mexico!

Well, we've reached that time in our journey when we must say goodbye to Mexico and head back to the real world.  All vacations must come to an end and I was really sorry to see this one go.  It was definitely one of my favorite trips I've ever taken, mainly becuase of the amazing friends that I got to share this trip with.  I can't even begin to explain how much these girls mean to me and what a joy it was to spend an entire week together.

On our last day, we once again braved the public transporation system and hopped on a bus to go to breakfast.  We were old pros at this by now and we had the entire bus to ourselves.

We passed the sign for Mismaloya, the beach that we visited the day before.
This street was completely flooded 24 hours ago.

Breakfast was delicious - we had fancy french toast and waffles and pancakes drenched in syrup and whipped cream and fruit (and I forgot to take pictures).  After brunch we decided to do a little souvenier shopping for items to bring home to loved ones.
The glassware in the shops was so beautiful and colorful.
After shopping, Kirsten and I decided to take the long way home and hike up to the top of the hills to take pictures of the city.  Ok, so it was my idea and Kirsten was the only one nice enough to go with me even though it was about 680 degrees outside and so humid it was like swimming through the air.  Y'all, I seriously thought we might die.  Bad idea.  Really really bad idea.  Horrible idea.  I'm SO sorry Kirsten (I can't believe she still speaks to me after putting her though this torture).  Luckily, the pictures turned out well.

Puerto Vallarta is seriously VERTICAL.
I mean, it'd be a double black diamond if you tried to ski down these hills.

This hill nearly killed us.
This one right here.
That was the end of the hike.
Kirsten demanded we leave immediately.
No more.
I'm so sorry K.
The hike downhill was much better.
Whew.
And before we knew it, we were at the airport, boarding our plane back to the US.
Adios Puerto Vallarta!
I have a feeling we'll be back one day!
