Mac's First Birthday Party

Remember last month when my little baby turned a year old and we threw him a big "Under the Sea" birthday party and then you never saw a single photo?  Yeah, sorry about that.  I finally made my way through the 900 (yes, I said NINE HUNDRED!!) photos I took that day and am can finally share them with you.  

Mac's birthday party was an absolute blast.  I thought that party went smashingly!  I think it was a combination of everyone having fun, beautiful weather and that feeling that all the hard work you put into something paid off and was well received.  Our little man had an absolute blast and loved being the center of attention.  From the minute he woke up from his nap and saw his grandparents there, he had a permanent smile on his face.  He loved the decorations and did that "O Face" with lots of pointing and awwww-ing over everything.  He loved playing with the other kids, eating the sidewalk chalk, blowing bubbles, catching fish and having everyone pay attention to him.  Best first birthday party ever!

    this is all so ridiculously cute! But the real question is...do you still have his monthly photo collages hanging up? I finally took Elyse's down, one week before her half birthday! And let's be honest, I only took them down because she pulled on one of them and the fishing line came loose--I figured I'd be a crazy person if I replaced the fishing line and rehung it!

    I've already started scheming for her 2nd birthday...why are our children growing so fast?!

    It looks like it was a TON of FUN! I LOVE your theme too! We were just starting to plan our little man's 1st birthday this weekend and I was toying around with a shark/or fish theme after our weekend trip to the Aquarium! SO CUTE! Happy Birthday Mac!

    Oh, that kid is cute too. Happy birthday, bubs, I can't believe you are one year old! I remember when your mama told me you were on the way and now you're ONE WHOLE YEAR!! Being your crazy Auntie Ally is the biggest joy in my life, I am so honored and lucky to be part of your life and know your mama--no matter what you might think when you get older, you have the most amazing mother on earth and she is my very best friend--so, be a good kid :)

    Ps it made me feel better that you hadn't posted his party yet even though I was looking forward to seeing it, because Stellas party was on the same day and I haven't done a thing with it yet! I need to get going asap or I never will!!!

    I really really love the theme! It looks like you really pulled it all together well. And I have to say little Mac is a lucky little guy...so many little kiddos running around to play with. :) He's gonna love it! I love the pictures where he is trying to eat the chalk and the one where he is trying to drink some beer! My hubby always lets Carter chew on the tops of his beer bottles (I guess they are cold and feel good on his little gums)...but now he wants to do it ALL.THE.TIME and it's kind of embarrassing when we are in public LOL.

    What a fun party!! Great job, Mamma!!! I especially love that he is eating the chalk! We are having Cam's party on Saturday, and I got chalk, and I immediately pictured him putting it in his mouth!! Bahaha :) I love all of the pictures...you did an amazing job!
