Happy Halloween

I'm not sure we'll ever top last year's costume, but we're going to try.  Photos of this year's costume coming soon (follow me on Instagram for a sneak peek tonight).

Hope you all have a safe, spooky, candy-filled (and dry) evening!

Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin Patch

I feel like the powers-that-be might revoke my blogging card if I don't post the obligatory pumpkin patch pictures.  I'm sure you've seen this exact same post from every single blogger you read, so I'll skip a lot of the commentary and just get right to it.

We went to Rombach's Farm early Sunday morning.  The place was much less crowded than we thought it'd be (score!).  Probably because everyone else was at church, while us heathens were the only ones out and about.  Nothing like waiting until the last possible minute.  You gotta do what you gotta do.
Mac was less than impressed with all the big orange "balls" lying around.
Mac and I took a train ride, but he cried for daddy the whole time.
His first pony ride was slightly traumatic.
He liked looking at the ponies much more than sitting on one.
Was not ready to leave them.  I think he wants a pony for Christmas now.
The slide was a big hit (surprise surprise).
The tunnel was not.  Daddy had to escort him through.
The antique fire truck was ok...but too many other kids wanted to drive, which lead to frustration and anger.
We had to leave before he punched a child.
The bubbles were exciting for about 10 seconds, then he was over them.
The actual pumpkin patch was beautiful.
He had fun with daddy trying to roll the balls.
But of course, wouldn't you know, the highlight of the whole trip were the tractors.
He could have sat on this tractor, happy as a clam, all the live long day.
Before we left, we took a hayride around the farm.
He was pretty over it by this point and was pissed that he was in the trailer and not in the tractor.
Overall, it was a successful trip, but I think Ryan and I had a lot more fun than the little guy did.  I'm pretty sure we could have sat him on the lawn mower in our garage and called it a day.  Oh well.  Such is life with a toddler.  :)  He didn't smile for a single photo, but I think they turned out cute nonetheless.  At least we can check that one off the fall bucket list.
