Here are some photos of Mac's official Halloween costume! He's a Mac Truck! I think it turned out pretty well, but apparently he wasn't a fan. He was actually pretty freaked out the entire night with all the kids coming and going, the crazy costumes, the dogs barking their faces off and the massive sugar crash after helping himself to the candy bowl. I can't really say I blame him...Halloween must be weird and terrifying for toddlers. We didn't even leave the house because it was raining so hard and I'm pretty sure the cardboard costume wouldn't hold up in a downpour (and I need it to because we are definitely going to have to retake some photos of him in it to get a smiley one). Also, did you notice he got a haircut?! (full post with eight million photos coming soon) He no longer looks like a baby. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BABY?
As you read this, Mac and I are on our way to the beach! It's the opening weekend of duck season, so while Ryan's out slaughtering birds, Mac and I are heading down to sunny Florida to visit one of my good friends and her daughter. We are SO excited about the trip. I've got a giant carry-on bag stocked plum full of candy, toys and activities to keep Mac entertained on the flight. I'm SO nervous. Please send positive solo-parent-toddler-travel vibes my way.
I took over 1,600 photos (almost all of Mac) in the month of October. That's normal, right? It's going to take me five years to get through them all.
My freezer is stocked full of mini Kit-Kat bars. Like 2 whole giant bags of them just waiting for me. Santa really better come through on that lipo.
I absolutely love Mac's costume! So cute and creative! Have a great time in Florida!

ReplyDeleteWhat a nifty costume, you got a smirk or two!
ReplyDeletebahaha about the lipo, sign me up for that Santa plan.
Awesome costume, very creative! Loving his new haircut, cant wait to read about it.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the costume! That is super creative and kudos on the execution of it! I think my favorite part is the "How's my driving?" sign on the back! I laughed when I saw that. I agree with your thoughts on toddlers and their emotions on Halloween. I've always thought they are probably creeped out by all of the aspects of Halloween. Enjoy the beach!

Love his costume, it reminds me of Truman's Thomas the Train costume last year. Labor of love, I tell you--good work, mama.
ReplyDeleteSaw on IG you did, indeed, survive the flight and are enjoying the beach. Trying not to hate you too much;)
Love the Christmas list. Hope you get it all...or at least the last one.
Love, love, love his costume! How long did it take you to make that?! It's great!
ReplyDeleteI will just say it again, because, ya know. Stop torturing my nephew. He's going to ask to come live with me because I'm going to buy him a pony and probably a puppy and here he'd get to wear Burberry every single day, so, really, I mean, it's the right choice.
ReplyDeleteAnd, now I want a Kit Kat. So, thanks for that.
COME SEE ME I MISS YOU OH MY GOD
That costume is amazing! Great job!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Look at that little half-smile through the tears :) A-DORABLE. He's seriously a cutie!

That candy crush button could be a pivotal change in my life. I HATE when I see a better move after I just made one, or move the wrong thing on accident. Life is so tough haha
