A few weeks ago, my friend Jessica asked me if she could "practice" taking some photos of me and Mac at a local park, so she could work on camera settings, angles and composure. Jessica and I both got our "fancy cameras" around the same time and she's been really great about letting me practice on her kiddos (remember this and this), so of course, my answer was "hell-to-the-yes!" Jessica is a lawyer, turned scientist, turned mama-extraordinaire, and is one of those people that's amazing at everything she does, so I had no doubt her photos would be great. However, they are so incredible, they absolutely blew me away! I started crying the minute I saw the first sneak peek. As the photographer in her family too, she understands how important and special it is to have photos of you with your children, laughing, playing and just being silly. I'm hoping she'll "go pro" soon, so I can hire her to do all our family photos for the rest of our lives. Mac and I had the best morning running around our favorite park, chasing the ducks, swinging and sliding - Jess managed to capture some really beautiful moments that I will treasure forever. Thank you Jessica for spending a little time with me and the boy and for these GORGEOUS photos. We love you. Here are a few of my favorites.

Practicing on my friends is my most favorite way to learn how to use my camera. I mean how can any photo be bad when the subjects are so beautiful?
