This past weekend, I had the honor and privilege of co-hosting a Lilly Pulitzer inspired bridal shower for my amazing friend Ally in Dallas, Texas. Ally and I have been friends for nearly seven years now and I am so incredibly lucky to have her in my life. We've been through so much together, despite never having lived in the same state and only getting to see each other once or twice a year. She is kind, generous, hilarious, and even more beautiful on the inside than she is on the outside, if that's even possible. I think it can be really rare to find such an amazing friend that you connect so deeply with across distance and I truly believe that she was put into my life for a reason. I cannot wait to stand by her side as she marries her true love this summer.
My co-host for the bridal shower was the incredibly talented and adorable Neely, who I'd never met personally, but felt like I have known for years (thanks to blog-stalking). It was so much fun planning a shower with another blogger because she truly understood and appreciated having all the little details perfectly styled and coordinated. Since the shower was at Neely's gorgeous home in Dallas and I was coming from St. Louis, the bulk (all) of the planning and prep fell on her. She went above and beyond and did such an incredible job! Everything was perfection, from Lilly quotes, gorgeous flowers, games, photo station to the most gorgeous and delicious food and drinks! Neely, I can't thank you enough for all your hard work on this shower! Thanks for opening your heart and home to us all and for your generosity, hard work and eye for style. You were such a lovely and gracious hostess and it was truly a spectacular shower!
I love bridal showers!

ReplyDeleteThe food at this place was delicious. The menu options we had at these wedding venues were great (it was hard to choose) and one course was better than the next. It was great that they had different options for those who didn't eat what we served.
